The longer story about me...

I have been in a professional environment since 2004, when I graduated from The University of MN-Duluth with a degree in Organizational Management. Upon graduating, I was hired as the first “employee” of a start-up company in the consumer electronics space (consumer goods industry). In such a small company, I was able to help develop foundational tools in all aspects of the business to shape and build the future of the organization (Finance/Accounting, Human Resources, Product Development, Logistics/Fulfillment, Sales, E-Commerce, Marketing, Leadership, and the list goes on…). 

It was a great learning experience to see revenue go from “they didn’t let me know what it was” when I was first hired, to “running the day to day operations of a $20M company.” 

I was an entrepreneur living in an employee’s body. Building the company’s core structure came naturally to me  and that's what I was there to do. The passion for growth, the relentlessness of overcoming business obstacles, the excitement of finding creative solutions to business problems. Of all the advice I was given during this time, the most important was “be a sponge to learn as much as you can.”  After nearly 16 years of being a sponge, it was time for me to venture out and flip my world upside down to see a completely different side of the business world. I needed more. 

Entering into the service industry as Director of Operations (legal industry), I have been introduced to a completely new dimension of business. One where the passion to help people is real. Helping those who are in dire need of help is a way of life. 

Finding solutions comes extremely natural to me. Roadblocks are not something that scare me or make me freeze. They excite me. With over two decades of unique experiences, I am here to share my knowledge and help executives overcome their obstacles. My passion and purpose is what’s driving me to guide successful businesses looking for the next level. 

My purpose (my “Why”) for Sunwood Partners is to inspire business leaders to lead with purpose. To help leaders overcome obstacles to build something greater than they ever imagined.
